Sarah Joseph

My name is Sarah/Sarah J (she/her), and I am a disabled, chronically ill, neurodivergent, White-presenting assimilated, cishet woman of mixed race Arab and European ancestry. I live through complex trauma, notably from the Western medical model, mental health industrial complex, white supremacy culture, and coloniality; at the same time, I benefit from these very systems with unearned privilege and less intersectional harm than other individuals and groups. My background has steered me to decenter white supremacy culture and coloniality, and uplift the lived experiences of those I collaborate with in supportive care as an unlicensed social worker.
