Bio

My name is Aileen and I am an autonomous, full-spectrum Traditional Midwife, Naturopathic Wellness Consultant, Community Herbalist, Bodywork Therapist, Shamanic Healing + Ceremonial Practitioner, Land-Steward and Ancestral Skills Educator. I provide support + services 'from cradle to grave' but the focus of my work is on "reproductive" health--the ovary-uterine body system and holistically supporting its experiences throughout the childbearing years from menarche to menopause with a specialization in fertility, natural birth control, pregnancy wellness, autonomous birth, and traditional postpartum care. My work is full-spectrum meaning that I support all pregnancy outcomes, and a large part of my reproductive healthcare support is around Pregnancy Release--a term I coined in 2013 to encompass the holistic care, experiences of, and out-of-clinic management of miscarriage and conscious terminations. I also train other community providers as Holistic Pregnancy Release Birthworkers.
Since 2011 I have undergone trainings in herbalism, homebirth midwifery and lactation, traditional nutrition, Ayurveda, homeopathy, many energy and touch-based bodywork therapy modalities, regenerative farming practices and permaculture design, sustainable living, earthskills and earth-based ancestral lifeways + crafts, and have been a shamanic practitioner in my own spiritual practice and then professional capacity for almost two decades. I have been teaching on herbalism, holistic homesteading, primal parenting and childbirth, natural family planning and self-managed abortion, and ancestral earthskills since 2016 and frequently teach both online and in-person at my home-farm or regional skills gatherings.
I am a Neurodivergent, dynamically-disabled, Queer polyamorous womxn and use she/they pronouns. Though the majority of my clients either identify as women or as LGBTQIA+, I also work with cisgendered men and heterosexual couples for wellness and reproductive support. With a personal background as a Sex Worker myself for almost 14 years, I also focus on providing reproductive + sexual well-care and Mutual Aid support to other Sex Workers.
All of my offerings are gender-expansive and LGBTQIA+ affirming and services are provided on a sliding-scale payment structure. I occasionally accept barter/trade, and often am involved in Mutual Aid efforts in my communities. As a low-income parent myself, I do not turn anyone away from my services but particularly midwifery or reproductive support due to lack of financial means. I believe no one should be unable to access health-promoting care, reproductive services, or forced to give birth somewhere or how they don't want to simply because they couldn't afford an integrative doctor, clinic services, or a midwife to attend them at home. Though I happily support Freebirth Families with prenatal/postpartum care and freebirth mentoring, I don't want people to be forced to choose freebirth over hospital birth because they couldn't afford the midwife they'd prefer to attend them.
As an Ordained Minister and shamanic practitioner who was raised Catholic, became Pagan for almost 20 years and is now religiously a Sufi Muslim exploring Quakerism, I am open to supporting clients and families of all spiritual and religious backgrounds but I have most experience with Paganism/Earth-Based Traditions & Islam.

Areas of focus

My work is holistic and naturopathic in nature, looking at the whole mind-body-spirit system and intuitively drawing from multiple healing modalities and wisdom traditions that I have been trained in with a focus on those related to my own ancestry. My one-to-one support is always individualized and tailored to you, your situation, your cultural/spiritual needs, and your body. I do not have a "one size fits all" approach in anything that I do. My work is expansive and liberatory, anarchist, radical, re-wilding, anti-capitalist and decolonial at its core. You are the central piece to your care and always have full autonomy over any choices, procedures, care plans, etc. I am not a good fit for those who want someone else to take responsibility for their care, experience, or ultimate outcomes. I also take very few clients partially to support my own dynamic disabilities and neurodivergent needs, and partially because I focus so much on supporting each individual client that I care for. The basis of my (particularly midwifery) work is to build a relationship of trust between us and long-term support to get to the root issue of your health concerns. I do not rush through prenatal appointments or take more than 1-2 birth clients a month so that I can give my full time and attention to each person/family.
I provide many offerings virtually for anyone living anywhere/any state, and work in-person at my home-office and within a 90-min radius of Montville, ME (I may be able to work within 2 hours of Montville for individual cases and for an additional travel fee).
I currently offer the following services (many can be provided both in-person and remotely):

Cost of Services

Pricing ranges based on service/offering, as well as the specific sliding-scale options for that service/offering. I do not turn anyone away for lack of funds or for financial insecurity. I offer an array of services that are low-cost to high-ticket, sometimes free. If you can afford a higher-cost service but not in one payment, I also offer payment plans. I ask those of financial security/abundance to pay full-price for services (with or without a payment plan) so that those experiencing financial insecurity or who are otherwise low-income (ie. disabled, receiving food stamps or Medicaid, have job/housing insecurity, high debt, etc) can take advantage of lower-tier prices and Mutual Aid/Barter/pro-bono offerings. This helps support me and my family while allowing me to provide my services regardless of the financial ability of a potential-client.
