Brenda Echeverry (she/her) is a Colombian American artist and therapist based in Boston, MA. She has a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from New York University and a Master’s degree in expressive arts therapy from Lesley University. Brenda has a background in musical performance, tap dance, studio art, and musical theatre. Her creative work reflects her interest in psychology, spirituality, mujerismo, and the natural world. Her practice is rooted in utilizing the arts as a form of self-reflection, emotional expression, and activism. She enjoys working with community members of all ages and has led classes and workshops at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston Public Libraries, Upham's Corner Health Center, Massachusetts Department of Mental Health, Louis D. Brown Peace Institute, and public schools across Boston and New York City. Brenda founded Art & Soul Clinic in 2023 which provides services to support community members with their healing journeys by increasing access to the arts as an alternative form of care.
Art & Soul Clinic does not accept insurance, however sliding scale options are available and most in-person/virtual community arts workshops are FREE or Pay-What-You-Can.
