Asiatu Lawoyin (they) is a Black, Trans, Agender, demisexual, queer, AuDHD, multiply neurovaried (including major depression disorder, anxiety, & others) sociologist & Spelman College alum. As a (late diagnosed) Autistic & Abolitionist professional, they combine their academic training with their lived marginalized experiences, centered in their Blackness & neuroexpansiveness to support others. They teach people how to be authentic commUNITY, rooted in accountability, while decreasing harm, fostering healing & connection via: educating, coaching & business consulting. They believe collective liberation rests on humanizing the oppressed, unlearning white colonial norms, & understanding harm reduction, especially accountability. Asiatu is a resident speaker of Autism in Black Conference, was a consultant for PDA North America Organization, & they have also worked with Amnesty International, API Speech-Laguage-Hearing-Caucus, Wheaton College of Massachusetts, Neurodivergent Psilocybin & Neurodivergent Cannabis Conferences. They have also been featured on multiple social media interviews as well as podcasts including on "Lived Experiences > Degrees." Asiatu was also was one of a few autistic consultants for the book "Is This Autism?: A Guide for Clinicians and Everyone Else" by Donna Henderson and Sarah Wayland with Janelle White published in 2023.
