My approach to social work dismantles it as an institution and reimagines it as a way of life rooted in decolonization. By recognizing that issues like poverty, inequality, oppression, and threats to well-being and self-determination stem from colonization, my focus is on decolonizing self, communities, and systems.
As a solo mother committed to collective healing and liberation, Ive been developing my Regenerative Wellness offerings through Lokah since 2022. This path reflects my personal journey toward embodied reconciliation, where I serve as a Sovereignty + Embodiment Helper, supporting others in dismantling colonial identities and reclaiming their sovereignty, fostering true reconciliation with self, others, and the land.
In 2024, I founded Kamoj Riil, an initiative that supports digital nomads, travelers, and expats in engaging more thoughtfully and respectfully with Maya communities in Guatemala. Since 2021, Ive also served as a Legal Assistant with the non-profit Elders Without Borders, advocating for Indigenous peoples in Canada as they pursue justice.
Currently studying in the Onajigawin Indigenous Services program, I focus on decolonizing and reimagining social work. "Onajigawin" is an Anishinaabemowin word meaning "being prepared for the work you will be doing as a helper." Through this program, I am committed to helping others decolonize themselves, their communities, and systems to create a future of freedom and well-being for the next generations.
Born on the land now known as Canada, I am a 3rd-generation settler with ancestral ties to Hungary, England, Poland, and Russia. After moving over 40 times, Ive embraced a nomadic lifestyle, transforming housing displacement into a path of adaptability and freedom.
As a neurodivergent being, I offer intuitive and practical support to help others remember who they truly are on the path to embodied reconciliation. Guided by my Human Design as a Projector with Splenic Authority and my astrological chart Sun in Aries, Moon in Aquarius, and Rising in Libra my approach reflects my instinctive, direct, and energetic nature, along with a strong need for freedom, authenticity, and a passion for justice and community.
Lokah is inspired by the Sanskrit mantra from the peoples of the land now known as India:
Lokah Samastah Sukhino Bhavantu
May all beings everywhere be happy and free, and may the thoughts, words, and actions of my own life contribute in some way to that happiness and to that freedom for all.
In acknowledging the origins of this mantra, I embrace its wisdom, guiding my work toward collective healing and liberation and honoring the capacities of those I support through a pay-what-you-can exchange, ensuring accessibility for all.
