In this increasingly dangerous and stressful world, I am committed to finding ways that healing can be a source for justice, empowerment, and care. We have a right to feel bad, and I see healing spaces as sacred locations for vulnerability, softness, and regrounding. I co-collaborate with curious folx who want to know more about themselves and find better ways to live under systems of oppression. This can look like wanting to know more about your gender/sexuality, traumas/resilience, patterns/history, systems/power, and desires/dreams. I work well with folx who want to find softer ways of being, explore voice/dignity, create liberatory self-narratives, and hold grief/trauma in new ways. I love working with community organizers, queer/trans folx, healers, and creatives. I value safely moving into the deep with clients, honoring and tending to wounds that happened to but do not define folx.
I identify with the word “healer,” because I don't believe in “cure” rhetoric. Under systems of oppression, our bodies are responding in accurate and valid ways. The Work is to imagine how we can stay true to ourselves, build communities that SEE us, and trick systems that were never made for us. I specialize in gender-affirming and neurospicy care.
The modalities I use are internal family systems, somatics, and narrative therapy. I am committed to liberating tools from manualized approaches (DBT, ACT, CPT) to help folx claim their own wellness skills. I also provide group therapies. I am not currently taking clients who struggle with active suicidality or active disordered eating.
