Bio

I recognize that shared identit(ies) might be an important factor in choosing a therapist or relationship coach. I am a gender non-conforming, white Latine of the Honduran diaspora who has lived with chronic illness. I am an activist and take particular interest in abolition and immigration/migration justice.
I became a therapist because I find so much meaning in human connection and the creative ways we heal ourselves and our communities. I know from personal experience how life changing embodied healing can be. Facilitating and witnessing this transformation in others is incredibly rewarding.
I’ve lived in Austin for the past decade enjoying the hill country and large bodies of water. Outside of the therapy room, you might find me gabbing with my friends, thrifting, politically organizing with other healers, reading novels, practicing tarot, or watching horror movies with my partner and our cats!

Areas of focus

As a therapist, I specialize in complex childhood trauma & C-PTSD, anti-oppressive practice & social justice, and attachments & relationships. In particular, I most often work with folks who experienced child abuse and neglect, attachment trauma, dysfunctional families, and other Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). I utilize a bottom-up approach to therapy, meaning that I pay close attention to the sensations you feel in your body and start with processing at the base of your brain, which is responsible for your automatic responses and memories, to promote embodied healing. I utilize experiential modalities, such as Internal Family Systems, and always utilize a psychodynamic framework.
As a relationship coach, I enjoy working with folks who need support in navigating their interpersonal relationships. Relationship coaching is a great option for folks who are looking for goal-focused and action-oriented guidance in their interpersonal relationships as opposed to looking at the past to understand present symptoms as you might do in therapy.
