As a daughter of immigrants, Kassandra has a deep understanding of the complexities that come with being Asian-American. She understands how impactful and rooted our cultural identities and upbringings are. She knows how terrifying it can be to ask for mental health support in communities where it is stigmatized. Because of her lived experiences, she is dedicated to creating a safe, inclusive, and affirming space for healing and processing. She translates her extensive training and experience in Brainspotting, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and trauma care into culturally responsive practices. She is dedicated to supporting underserved populations through grief and loss, behavioral changes, executive functioning challenges, and identity development.
Having faced discrimination and racism, she is committed to advocacy in her personal and professional life. Kassandra is passionate about social justice, pursuing volunteering, researching on the BIPOC experience, and being heavily involved in anti-racist professional organizations and projects.
