Bio

My identities include: white, queer, cis woman, AuDHD, chronically ill and dynamically (and mostly invisibly) disabled, community-centered, Covid-conscious, anti-oppressive, liberation-focused.
My human values are also my values as a therapist: community and collaborative care, anti-oppressive practices, inclusion, transparency and honesty, horizontal and equitable power dynamics and the elimination of hierarchical power wherever possible (and a consistent awareness of the impacts of power dynamics wherever it is not possible to eliminate), co-creating an environment where it’s safe for others to communicate honestly about how I impact them (including when I have harmed them) and to ask for repair and to trust that I will show up to offer that repair. I am transparent about my political and social justice orientation because I believe it is your right to have fully informed consent about who you choose for your therapist. Please know that any questions about my beliefs and/or education on any topic relevant to your lived experience are perfectly ok to ask.

Areas of focus

My areas of focus include: trauma and especially complex trauma/CPTSD, neurodivergence, childhood emotional neglect, working with activists, working with fellow white people to deconstruct whiteness and white supremacy, working with chronically ill and disabled people navigating the normalization of Covid, and I also work with therapists to support collaborative and critical analysis of our own inherently oppressive field. I'm also happy to consult with therapists considering divestment from licensure.
