Hiraeth Healing Practice is a healing entity and small business, offering 1-1 fee-for-service Therapeutic Support for Activists, Seekers, Healers, and Changemakers, offered as weekly, recurring, 60 minute sessions.  We offer a free mini session to vibe check, ask questions, and get to know more about us and our practice. What We Do

Think spiritual therapy + multi-dimensional nourishment for your body, legacy, lineage, and soul. We meet your need for life-enhancing, soul-enriching care that accommodates your unique identities, traumas, gifts, skills, layers, lineages, and lived experience. We honor what may feel limiting, constricting, or even restraining for you- even as we also honor your enormous potential to expand, shape, defy, and resist. We trust you as you engage with the Earthy matter of your own life, and we show up as a grounding, illuminating, and nurturing presence to accompany, guide, nourish, and fortify you on your unique path.

We are a fully virtual practice, working with clients all over the world. Our services are therapeutic and spiritual in nature, best fit for those interested in integrating trauma while honoring their agency, curious about the relationship between the material and spiritual realms. Our services tend to be a great fit for those who leave traditional therapy, coaching, and/or healing spaces feeling flattened, unsatisfied, disappointed, and wanting more.

Our vision is for multi-generational, inter-species healing, restoration, and repair. we know our practice is one small piece of the collective healing puzzle, which, when held well, generates long-lasting impact for those we serve. We work with the goal of being a lifelong, trustworthy resource and partner for our clients, because we understand the value of having an unwavering, compassionate, and reliable external healing presence to help guide, process, witness, notice, and hold. We believe in the immense power of individuals and know that by showing up for our own liberation, we create more liberatory realities for all.

How We Help

Traditional therapy helps us cope with what is. Healing helps us be present with what is, while also embodying what could be. Healing may involve traditional therapy, but traditional therapy, in and of itself, is not, by default, healing. Perhaps you are feeling misunderstood, flattened, or disappointed with your experience in traditional therapy spaces- you’re longing for support that centers your full body liberation and offerings that rise to meet your emergent, dynamic, multi-faceted needs.

At Hiraeth, we do what traditional therapy can’t- we tend to your mental and emotional health, while also attuning to your soul. We affirm every edge and winding turn of your unique path, while also initiating you into new levels of growth. we help you change your relationship to life, invigorating what feels dull, illuminating what remains hidden, and integrating it all in ways that feel feasible, sustainable, and manageable for you at this particular time. We do this without bypassing systemic oppression, but instead,  tending to its impact with diligence and care.

At Hiraeth Healing Practice, we follow our longings- however mysterious, perplexing, abstract, or illusive they seem. we trust our longings to lead us to where we need to be. Speaking to and from our knowing, which emerges from the dark, cavernous space inside, our memories, visions, stories, wounds, yearnings, and griefs become sacred data, supporting us as we fulfill our purpose in this life.

We believe healing is a simple, yet intricate ritual of refusing to abandon ourselves over and over again. We commit and recommit to that practice every moment of every day. We know our bodies and hearts hold the key to our freedom- time and time again, we offer them our attention, as they reveal to us our next iteration of growth.

As healing partners, we gather to map the patterns and practices that support you in living your most liberated life. In our work together, you find nourishment for the long-haul- a dynamic resourcing partner in your healing and care.

While clients often refer to us as “magic,” we are wise enough to know that magic is a culmination of energies, coalescing at the right moment in to co-create something divine, natural, brilliant, and true. We aren’t here to feed you illusions about how powerful, capable, and intuitive we are- we’re here to hold that mirror up for you.

Our Approach + Modalities

We are apprenticed, skilled, studied, and well-practiced in a wide variety of healing modalities, including astrology, energy work, tarot, cartomancy, divination, channeling, herbalism, psychic abilities, trauma-informed best practices, ritual, spell work, Internal Family Systems, parts work, ancestral connection, somatic experiencing, and anti-colonial perspectives.

We are diligent about maintaining a multi-cultural spiritual literacy, rooting our practice in a capacity to support people across backgrounds, experiences, identities, cultures, and wisdom traditions.

While a majority of our 1-1 work together will involve engaging with each other through storytelling, sharing, and processing- we weave together healing arts, poetry, writing, culture, music, ritual, movement, and more to offer accessible, dynamic, and engaging options that meet a wide rage of interests and needs. We provide external referrals and resources when we reach the edge of our wisdom or when our client expresses an unmet need.

We are politicized in our practice, meaning we believe spiritual and therapeutic work should nourish and sustain life, as well as protect and affirm the agency, dignity, and divinity of all. We actively work towards ending violence, tend to the impact of systemic oppression, support the liberation of all harmed, abused, and exploited people, and actively participate in the healing of the whole.

Statement of Spiritual + Political Integrity and Alignment

At Hiraeth, we reject the belief that anything is wrong with our lived experience, and therefore, push back against models that tell us there’s anything to change or fix. Our bodies, our spirits, our minds are not broken- they are responding and adapting perfectly and intuitively to the conditions of our lives.

We acknowledge the disabling impact of racial capitalism on the bodymind
soul, the demonic and soul-draining nature of white supremacy, and the imbalances caused by settler colonialism. The shapes we take to survive these systems are wise and ancient, and we believe we can practice taking wiser shapes when and if we realize a shape we take is causing harm.

We know trauma is a roadmap, a part of our inner ecosystem, guiding us towards what needs healing in ourselves and in the world. At Hiraeth we believe healing is the intentional, repetitive process of circling our wounds, gaining greater perspective and clarity and building our skillsets each time. Sometimes our wounds scar over and lay dormant. Other times they blister and puss for years. From time to time, we rub up against things that irritate them or rip them open again- we may even consciously or unconsciously cover them in a healing / soothing salve. Our wounds are a core part of our embodied experience, and we approach them with curiosity, reverence and care.

At Hiraeth we start from a place of accepting we are wounded, but understanding our wounding is not grounds for punishment, judgement, fixing or changing. Our wounding tells us where to direct our attention, but it does not limit us, make us unworthy of love, or make us “bad” or “wrong.” As we tend to our wounding, we grow in our awareness of the lives we want to live, the conditions we want to change and the world we want to create- then we resource ourselves so we can get to it.

We believe healing occurs in a spiral, not a staircase. Rather than linear, horizontal, upward moves, we circle around our concerns and curiosities at different velocities, intensities and from various perspectives overtime. We take breaks when breaks are needed and we resume when we are ready. We put down what feels heavy and we build the strength to hold what’s ours to hold. We flutter from thought to thought, feeling to feeling, memory to memory, trusting our wisdom is guiding us to an aligned place. We always wind up where we need, where we feel we belong.

We currently offer Therapeutic Support for Seekers, Activists, Healers, and Changemakers, which is an anti-colonial alternative to therapy that meets your personalized healing needs and provides liberatory accompaniment, spritual resourcing, and guidance for your Earthly and Ethereal body. Sessions are 1-1, occur weekly, and require a six month minimum time commitment for healing and growth.
