Mari mari — I’m Sabrina (she/they/ella/elle). I’m a somatic and dance/movement therapist and I’m really glad you’ve found your way here.
I know reaching out for support isn’t always easy — especially if care hasn’t felt safe, spacious or built with you in mind. I work with folks who’ve moved through systems that never fully saw them — people navigating neurodivergence, grief, illness, identity shifts, survival, disconnection and return. People who have been told they’re too much or not enough. People holding truths that don’t always fit inside neat boxes. There’s room for all of that here.
I’ve been in healing spaces for most of my life — first as someone finding my way through, and later as someone learning how to hold space for others. I officially began practicing as a therapist in 2018 while in grad school but I’ve been a client, a mover, a feeler and a community member far longer. That lived experience shapes how I listen and how I stay.
I’m a neurodivergent, queer, Indígena adoptee living with chronic illness. These parts of me aren’t side notes — they live at the center of my practice. They’ve taught me how to move at the speed of trust, how to honor grief and rage and how to offer care that doesn’t ask you to shrink. My work is abolitionist, relational, trauma-informed and rooted in body-based ways of knowing. You don’t have to be regulated to be received. We start with what’s real.
Outside of therapy, I find joy in the everyday: planning hikes, over-curating playlists, photographing still moments and dancing through life with the people I love. My partner and our three dogs — Pennyworth, Zuko and Wizard — keep me grounded. So does community. So does laughter, music, movement and the kind of tenderness that doesn’t need to be explained. I’ve always moved through life creatively — and for the last decade, that’s included film photography, music and danza, which continues to root me in ancestry and connection.
