Bio

As a queer, neurodivergent, nonbinary, Black Puerto Rican, and chronically ill individual from the Bronx, NY, my identities shape how I approach therapy. These intersecting experiences inform my understanding of healing as deeply personal, culturally rich, and inherently tied to self-acceptance and authenticity.

Areas of focus

Radical Acceptance, drawn from Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), encourages clients to fully acknowledge and accept reality as it is, without judgment or resistance. This practice is transformative because it helps break free from the cycle of self-criticism and perfectionism that often hinders healing.
Decolonization is another integral part of my approach. It involves helping clients recognize and unlearn the harmful societal norms, oppressive systems, and colonial narratives that have shaped their lives and identities. Decolonization is not just about intellectual understanding—it’s about breaking free from internalized oppression, embracing cultural pride, and reconnecting with one’s true self.
Somatic healing, the practice of reconnecting with the body, is a cornerstone of my work because I believe true healing comes from integrating mind and body. The body holds wisdom—emotions, past trauma, and experiences. Somatic practices help the client return to the body, reconnect with their authentic selves, heal past wounds, and develop a stronger foundation for emotional and physical wellbeing.
